John Higgins

I served in the Navy during the 60’s where I learned to be an aircraft mechanic. After leaving the Navy I perused aviation maintenance and had a successful 40 year career working for several helicopter companies and 2 airlines. After retiring I took up painting, something I always wanted to learn. I took a couple of classes in oils and watercolors and got started. I also found YouTube to be a great source for instruction and inspiration. My art depicts many of my experiences and experiences of friends mostly in aviation, trains, ships and cars. I work mainly in acrylics but also dabble in watercolor, markers and colored pencils.
